EfiSeek — User Manual
Everything the app does, in plain English · v0.1.4 beta · efiseek.com
1 Quick Start
You're rolling five minutes after signup. All you need is your trip math and your fuel receipts.
Your first load, start to finish
1
Create your account. Pick a username and password, enter your email, agree to the terms. Then check your inbox for the verification email and click the link — check spam if it hasn't arrived in a few minutes.
2
Set your timezone and display name. One-time setup. Your timezone decides when your weeks and months flip over, so set it to where you run, not where you live. Change it anytime in Profile.
3
Enter the load. Load #, trailer #, and empty miles on the Load screen. Tap START LOAD.
4
Buy fuel as you go. Each fill-up goes in as a fuel stop — type the gallons, or tap SCAN RECEIPT and photograph the printed receipt.
5
Finish with EMPTY. Enter your loaded miles and confirm. The load locks in with its MPG and your Stats update instantly.
That's the whole app. Everything else — Stats, Quarterly, Analytics — is the app keeping score of loads you've already entered. Enter loads as you run them and the numbers take care of themselves.
2 The Core Loop
One load at a time. From dispatch to empty, the app tracks what you actually burned.
Starting a load
- Load # — the number from your dispatch. Optional but recommended; it's your reference on every screen.
- Trailer # — optional, your reference.
- Empty miles — miles from where the last load ended to where you hooked up. The drive to pick up your freight.
- Tap START LOAD. The load goes in flight and the in-flight screen takes over.
Empty miles at start, loaded miles at end — that split is what feeds your empty-miles percentage later.
While you roll — the In-Flight screen
Gallons Needed = total miles ÷ your MPG goal. Remaining (Needed minus Bought) turns red the moment you're over budget — an early warning, live as you drive. It's a plan, not a verdict: your true MPG lands at EMPTY.
Every fill-up is a fuel stop — gallons only. No prices, no locations. EfiSeek tracks what burns, not what it costs.
Adding a fuel stop
- Type the gallons in the box (three decimals if you've got them).
- Tap BUY FUEL.
Stops list in order. Mistyped one? Tap Delete on the stop, then tap again to confirm — two taps so you can't lose a stop by accident.
Finishing — EMPTY
- Tap EMPTY and enter your loaded miles — the trip from pickup to delivery.
- Tap EMPTY again to confirm — same two-tap protection as delete.
- The load completes with its MPG: (empty + loaded miles) ÷ total gallons.
Load MPG lands in your Stats, your week bucket, and your rolling window. A load you never EMPTY doesn't count anywhere — see the FAQ.
Editing & deleting
- EDIT LOAD — from any completed load's detail screen. Fix load #, trailer and truck #, empty and loaded miles, notes, and even the completed date if the paperwork says otherwise. Stats and history update to match, everywhere.
- DELETE LOAD — removes the load and its fuel stops for good. Two-tap confirm, no undo — edit instead whenever possible.
- Delete a fuel stop — same two-tap pattern, right on the stop.
3 Stats — Your Record of Truth
Every mile and gallon, your record, your math. This is the screen you show when a number gets questioned.
CURRENT · open period
YTD · year to date Pro
CUSTOM · any dates Pro
What's on the screen
- Headline MPG — pooled total miles ÷ total gallons for the period. Never an average of averages.
- Miles — empty + loaded, with the split.
- Per-load table — every completed load with its own MPG and the goal that was in effect when it completed.
- Weekly buckets — Sunday-anchored weeks in your timezone. Your numbers stay put no matter where the truck is when the week flips.
- Rolling 4-week detail — rolling-mode users get a sliding window view: the trailing four buckets that feed Analytics.
Exports — PDF & CSV Core
SAVE → PDF gives a clean formatted report; SAVE → CSV gives spreadsheet-ready rows. Both cover exactly the period you're viewing — set the period first, then save.
Owner-operators: CSV drops straight into Excel or Google Sheets for IFTA paperwork and quarterly taxes.
4 Quarterly & Analytics Pro
The long view. Both are Pro features — every tier can read this manual, so here's what's waiting one upgrade away.
Quarterly — five quarters, stacked
The current quarter, the three before it, and the same quarter last year — your honest year-over-year line. Each quarter shows months M1/M2/M3 with miles, gallons, MPG and Util% (of your monthly mileage target), plus a pooled TOTAL recomputed fresh from raw loads — never an average of monthlies.
| Quarter | Miles | MPG | Util% |
| Q3 2026 (current) | 21,450 | 7.31 | 96% |
| Q2 2026 | 22,913 | 7.24 | 91% |
| Q3 2025 (last year) | 20,780 | 7.10 | — |
Sample numbers for illustration. Export: PDF and CSV, same as Stats.
Analytics — the rolling picture
- 4-week scorecard — average MPG, miles, and loads at a glance.
- MPG Trend — recent 28 days vs the 28 before it, over a 12-week sparkline. Rising, falling, or stable — stated plainly.
- Month-End Projection — where your MPG and miles will land if you keep this pace, measured against your goal.
- Miles Trend + Weekly Miles vs Goal — weekly bars with hit/miss coloring and a streak counter. A week off the road resets the streak honestly.
- Week Insights — best week, lightest week, and a consistency read: steady, variable, or swingy.
- Empty Miles Analysis — your empty percentage over time. For owner-operators this is negotiation ammo: unpaid miles, quantified.
- Fuel Patterns + Load Stats — fill sizes, total gallons, loads per week, average load distance.
Analytics reads a true trailing 28-day window, refreshed live.
Why these are Pro: quarterly and rolling analytics answer the questions that come up when money rides on the numbers — tax quarters, year-over-year, bonus review, renegotiating your deal. Daily tracking never needs them; your career might.
5 Goals & Your Numbers
Two numbers drive everything: your MPG goal and your mileage target. Set them once; the app does the rest.
MPG goal — your fuel target
Set in Profile (e.g. 7.200). It drives your in-flight gallon budget and your goal-hit history. Every completed load is judged against the goal that was in effect when it completed — change the goal mid-period and past loads keep their original verdict. History stays honest.
Mileage target — monthly miles Core
Your monthly mileage goal (e.g. 10,000 mi/month). Feeds Utilization % in Stats and Quarterly, and the weekly bars in Analytics — weekly comparisons use your monthly target ÷ 4. Core and up.
Company drivers: set the goals your bonus program uses and EfiSeek becomes your independent check on it. Owner-operators: set the numbers your business needs to hit and the app keeps you honest about both.
6 Receipt Scanning All tiers
Snap a photo of the printed receipt; the gallons fill themselves.
- On the in-flight screen, tap SCAN RECEIPT.
- Point your camera at the printed receipt — square, straight-on, no glare.
- The app reads the gallons (price and total land as reference) and fills the field — it flashes green when it lands.
- Check the number, then tap BUY FUEL to save the stop.
When a scan can't be read: the card tells you plainly — no silent wrong numbers. Square up the shot and try again, or type the gallons by hand; scanning is a shortcut, not a requirement. And if a liters receipt sneaks in from Canada, it gets rejected with the conversion math shown — nothing corrupt gets stored.
Cooldown: one scan every 30 seconds. If the button's grayed out, give it half a minute.
7 Profile & Account
Identity, truck, timezone, goals, plan, community, and the off-ramps — all in one place.
What lives in Profile
- Display name, Driver ID, truck make/model/number — what shows on your reports.
- Timezone — where your weeks flip. Set it to where you run.
- MPG goal + mileage target — the two numbers from section 5.
- Plan — your tier, one-tap switching. All tiers unlocked during beta: explore everything free, pick later.
- Discord community — link your Discord to join the EfiSeek community and get your driver-tier role.
- Account off-ramps — switch to Diesel (free, keeps your data) or deactivate (1 year to change your mind, then permanent deletion).
This manual lives here too — the User Manual button on the Profile screen brings you right back.

9 FAQ & Support
Quick answers
A load from last week isn't in my stats.
Loads only count once you tap EMPTY and enter loaded miles. Find it on the Load screen or its detail page and close it out.
My MPG changed after I edited a load.
Correct behavior — MPG always recomputes from raw miles and gallons. Edits don't drift; they recompute.
Why is Gallons Needed different from what I'll actually burn?
Needed = miles ÷ your MPG goal. It's the plan. Your true MPG lands at EMPTY.
When does my week start — Sunday or Monday?
Sunday. Weeks run Sunday to Saturday in your timezone (set in Profile).
Can I track two loads at once?
One in-flight load at a time — finish with EMPTY, then start the next. That keeps every fuel stop attached to the right load.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Nothing is ever deleted by a plan change. Downgraded features hide until you upgrade back; your loads, fuel, and history stay.
Is my data private?
Your loads and fuel entries are yours — visible to you, kept for you. The record is yours; the math is ours.
I deleted a load by mistake.
Deletion is permanent — that's why it asks twice. Re-enter the load (Edit Load covers corrections on anything that still exists) and it recomputes cleanly.
Still stuck? Two ways to reach us
Tickets — bottom nav → Tickets → + New Ticket. Say what happened and what you expected; replies land right there, typically within 24 hours. One open ticket at a time, and your email needs to be verified first.
Discord — link your account from Profile and join the community: live help from other drivers and the team.
Before writing a ticket, skim this manual — most answers live in sections 2, 3, and 9. A ticket with your load # and what you expected vs. what you saw gets resolved fastest.
